It started with just leather and thread. Soon, our shoes had to endure long labor days, heavy rain fall, the heat of the asphalt… and still fit in social norms, costumes and fashion trends.
We needed time and deep research to find alternatives for heavy chemicals and to reduce industrial waste.
But ultimately, answers started to arise. Much more than we imagined.
We found many ways to make durable shoes with very low impact on the environment; to treat and reintroduce water; to save energy; to reuse much of what used to be waste.
We reached for natural alternatives; rethought even the smallest of tasks, to create a better work environment for all.
Dealing with post-production waste is a natural part of the cycle. It became an indispensable resource. A solution instead of a problem. The vision is to keep making reliable, durable, responsibly crafted shoes.

Tudo começou apenas com couro e linha. Em pouco tempo, os nossos sapatos tiveram de suportar longas jornadas de trabalho, chuvas torrenciais, o calor do asfalto… e ainda assim adequar-se às normas sociais, aos costumes e às tendências da moda.
Precisámos de tempo e de uma investigação aprofundada para encontrar alternativas aos produtos químicos agressivos e para reduzir os resíduos industriais.
Mas, por fim, as respostas começaram a surgir. Muito mais do que imaginávamos.
Descobrimos muitas formas de fabricar sapatos duráveis com um impacto muito reduzido no ambiente; de tratar e reintroduzir a água; de poupar energia; de reutilizar grande parte do que antes era lixo.
Recorremos a alternativas naturais; repensámos até as tarefas mais pequenas, para criar um melhor ambiente de trabalho para todos.
Lidar com os resíduos pós-produção é uma parte natural do ciclo. Tornou-se um recurso indispensável. Uma solução em vez de um problema. A visão é continuar a fabricar sapatos fiáveis, duráveis e criados de forma responsável.
